Meet Graham ... The lovely mutual friend who introduced us back in 2016. A friend close to both our hearts with a killer sense of humour, we asked Graham to MC the wedding not only because he introduced us but because both of us were lucky enough to play important roles at his and Christie's beautiful wedding as well (Lara MCed, Andy officiated)

Lara and Jolene met back in 2001 and have been very close friends since 2005. Jo and Lara started in Kempton and now ... they're still in Kempton (the horror!). They've travelled together, started a very successful blog together, and essentially grew up together.

Sarah and Lara were neighbours in Huis Erika in first year. Along with Twinx, also a guest at the wedding, the three have been friends ever since. As with the rest of the bridal party, there has been highs and lows, careers starting and finishing, travels, tears and too many laughs to count.

Prawdie and Andy have been friends since pre-school ... And at least tolerate each other most of the time. When Jords isn't doubling as Andy on election day (councillor so nice to see you!) he enjoys warming jacuzzis with a kettle and going for a nice sail (or sale, his wife might add).

Informally getting this nickname when the gals were over for the official ''bridesmaids asking ceremony'', Dani was the only one to accept actual alcohol to celebrate on a ''school'' night. She is also known for swimming in rivers in the early morning hours at weddings ... the STAY ponds better watch out. Despite Andy telling everyone Dani failed a grade and that they are twins, Dani is in fact the youngest Harris sibling, holding her own with brothers Dave and Andrew and eldest sister Claire.

When Pete isn't making the big bucks at his important Boksburg law firm or posing as Men in Black Ken, he enjoys a responsible occasional brandy and will not say no to a pink drink. Pete is the photographer in the group and will be a good go to for a beautiful photo should you need someone to take a kiekie of you on the night.

And then a bit of ''soutie'' became something not only added to his biltong ... Tiep only brother and youngest sibling in the Erasmus clan is quickly becoming oom Elardus's only hope for an Afrikaans person marrying into the family. Sceptic at first, Lardus and Andy share a love for hunting, the outdoors and, most importantly, God. Quick pals it was! As the youngest member of the grooms party, he is in for quite the treat (read shock).

Kirsten and Lara's story goes way back to 2008 ... It wasn't however until sitting together in ''Ma'm Kristy's'' English class (yes people, this is my second language) in 2010 and getting food poisoning together on a trip to China in 2011 that their fate as best friends became sealed. If you're really looking to bond with someone, have unwashed grapes on a train station in Hong Kong together and siedaar.

Caro started mistaking nearly every photo on Lara's WhatsApp status as an engagement since about last year March ... and then was not on her phone the actual day we called her to share the engagement. Nonetheless, thank you for rooting for us from the start! She is also the original ''marrier'' of an Andrew. Now we just need one for middle sister, Iranda. Call us up if you know any eligible Andrews ... It is after all the ''Age of Andrew'' for the Erasmus sisters.

After initially mistaking Lara for some other girl Andy took out for sushi (ish, what are the timeliness here, Andrew Harris) Clairie has been a great sounding board and support throughout the relationship. The second of our two eldest sisters, Claire knows how to still throw down and have a good time. You'll surely find her at the bonfire when the reception hall closes at 2 (am).

Sorry ladies (and internet randoms) this one is taken. David is not only an older brother to Andy, but a best friend and sounding board. David is the reason Andy and his grooms party are gonna be so spoggerig on the day. Pannie, or should we say Punny, originally got her nickname from being called Iranda Panda when she was small (or smaller, hehe). Little did we know she would blossom into the pun making Punnie Andy loves to roll his eyes at ... But is that a smile in the corner of your mouth, mister groom. ;-)

The man, the myth, the legend, Wessie. Wessel and his wife Evie became Andrew's unwilling PE parents, despite Wessel's determination not to be friends with colleagues. Through some very kak work times, and impressive brandy drinking skills for a soutie, our friendship is now solidified for life.
